Prabowo: Aceh Tamiang Recovery Rapid, No More Displaced Persons in Tents

President Prabowo Subianto has praised the disaster recovery in the Aceh Tamiang region. He stated that the handling of the disaster in this location has been very rapid.

“The repairs and recovery have been very quick. Alhamdulillah, nearly 100 percent,” said Prabowo after Id prayer at Masjid Darussalam, Aceh Tamiang, on Saturday (21/3/2026).

Prabowo said that there are now no more displaced persons in Aceh Tamiang living in tents. They have been moved to permanent or temporary housing built by the government.

“There are no more in tents, 100 percent have all left the tents. They have entered temporary or permanent housing,” he said.

“Alhamdulillah, the situation is improving. Electricity is almost fully operational, nearly 100 percent,” added Prabowo.

Prabowo thanked all the personnel working on the Sumatra disaster recovery. He said that the improvements are now being felt by the residents.

“I am very proud, thank you to all the personnel, all apparatus from TNI-Polri, BNPB, Public Works, local government, all ministries and agencies that have worked extraordinarily. They have worked extraordinarily to help the people in Aceh, North Sumatra, West Sumatra, and other provinces,” explained Prabowo.
