Prabowo Accepts Resignation of National Nutrition Agency Chief Nanik Deyang

Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi has provided clarification regarding the resignation of Nanik Sudaryati Deyang from her position as head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN). The explanation was delivered by Prasetyo during a press conference at the Presidential Palace complex in Jakarta on Wednesday.

“Regarding the resignation request of the BGN head, Mrs Nanik Sudaryati Deyang, we can confirm it is true,” he stated. According to Prasetyo, Nanik submitted her resignation to President Prabowo due to health reasons. Nanik reportedly wishes to focus first on addressing her health issues.

“Officially, she has also sent a resignation letter. So it is not just what she conveyed on social media, but administratively she has submitted her resignation,” Prasetyo said. He added that because the BGN is an institution whose work cannot be delayed, President Prabowo accepted Nanik’s resignation and decided to appoint a replacement.

“The plan is for the replacement to be inaugurated today as well, so that the process or duties carried out by the BGN do not experience a vacuum. That is what we can convey to our media colleagues and the entire public regarding the resignation of the BGN head,” Prasetyo concluded.
