PR needs Extra Joss at the polls

PURWOKERTO, Central Java: The Republican Party (PR) capped its
final day of campaigning on Thursday by giving away some 30,000
bottles of the tonic drink Extra Joss in several traditional
markets.

A local party leader, Darsono, said Extra Joss and the
Republican Party had one thing in common: They both used fists as
their symbol.

"Hopefully Extra Joss will remind people of the Republican
Party when they go to the polls next week," Darsono said.

Some bystanders who received the Extra Joss gulped down the
drink, giggled and said: "Extra Joss and the Republican Party
must belong to the same company." (45)
