Samarinda (ANTARA) - The Penajam Paser Utara Regency Government (PPU) is offering the Buluminung Industrial Area as a new, integrated, and directly connected economic growth centre to the Nusantara Capital (IKN) region.

PPU Regent Mudyat Noor, in Samarinda on Friday, stated that PPU is no longer merely offering raw potential. Instead, it is now presenting mature projects ready for implementation or Investment Project Ready to Offer (IPRO).

“The updating of IPRO data is a crucial step to provide certainty for investors. We guarantee land readiness, technical and economic project feasibility, and strong regulatory support,” said Mudyat Noor during the joint commitment signing event with East Kalimantan regional heads in Samarinda.

This commitment is part of strengthening the Regional Investment Relations Unit (RIRU). This strategic instrument is designed to ensure a more directed, transparent, and sustainable flow of investments.

Key points in strengthening PPU’s investment climate include data accuracy, namely the use of real-time data to convince investors.

Ease of permitting or transformation of more efficient integrated services, and finally infrastructure support, namely budget allocation and periodic monitoring to ensure projects run according to targets.

As the “gateway” to IKN, PPU has an unmatched bargaining position. In addition to the Buluminung Industrial Area, the local government is also widely opening doors for investments in the logistics and port sectors by utilising the coastline for national distribution routes.

“Penajam Paser Utara is ready to become the main strategic partner for investors. We are not just spectators, but active players in the new economic growth around IKN,” emphasised Mudyat Noor.

With this step, East Kalimantan is further strengthening its position as the national investment epicentre.

The acceleration of IKN development has proven to be a multiplier effect that opens up broad economic opportunities, while transforming PPU into a modern and environmentally friendly future industrial area.
