PPPK Employee in Sleman Found Dead at Home, with a Slit Throat

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, SLEMAN - Residents of Dusun Klawisan Topadan, Margoagung village, Seyegan sub-district, Sleman regency, were shocked by the discovery of the body of a man, identified only as S (48 years old), inside his house on Friday morning (15/5/2026). The victim was recently appointed as a PPPK (Government Contract Employee) at the Sleman Public Works, Housing and Settlement Area (DPUPKP) Department.

S was found dead in his bedroom, lying on the floor. According to information circulating, there were slit wounds on the victim’s neck. The body was first discovered by the victim’s mother at around 07:00 WIB.

The head of Margoagung village, Djarwo Suharto, confirmed the incident. He expressed his condolences for the death of one of the residents in his area.

“(It’s true). We learned that he had passed away,” said Djarwo on Friday (15/5/2026).

“We express our condolences to our residents in the Margoagung community, specifically in Dusun Klawisan Topadan,” he said.

When village officials arrived at the location, police and military personnel were already at the victim’s house to carry out initial handling and secure the crime scene.

Djarwo explained that the victim was originally registered as a resident of Gunungkidul regency, following his wife’s domicile. However, after being appointed as a PPPK in the Sleman Regency Government, the victim decided to return to live in his hometown in Seyegan with his mother.

“He was recently appointed as a PPPK at the Public Works Department, so he had to work in the Sleman Regency Government. The deceased returned to his hometown because his mother is still here,” he said.
