PPP speech goes on and on and on

JAKARTA (JP): Despite being a minority faction, the United
Development Party (PPP) Assembly members are certainly not shying
away from making their voices heard.

During a session responding to President Soeharto's
accountability address, the representative reading out PPP's
response, Khofifah Indar Parawansa, ran over her allotted 15
minutes.

"I'm sorry but the party has a lot of aspirations that it
would like to convey. Could I please have another 10 minutes,"
Khofifah said.

After being given permission she quickly continued but found
that the extra 10 minutes was not enough.

"Could I please have five minutes more," she pleaded again
before racing through the remaining paragraphs of her speech.
