PPP Secretary General Hopes Internal Dispute Resolved Quickly to Participate in Election

Semarang — United Development Party (PPP) Secretary General Taj Yasin Maimoen testified as a witness in a case concerning internal party disputes at the Central Jakarta District Court on 20 May 2026. He expressed hope that the party’s internal issues would be resolved swiftly to allow participation in the upcoming election.

‘I was indeed summoned as a witness for the party’s matters,’ Yasin told journalists after attending a plenary meeting at the Central Java Regional House of Representatives office in Semarang on 26 May 2026.

He declined to disclose details of his testimony, stating only that he faced numerous questions. ‘That’s all; I provided testimony to resolve the issue,’ he said.

Yasin has entrusted the court’s ruling on the lawsuit brought by several PPP members against him to the Central Jakarta District Court panel. ‘As Secretary General, I hope it is resolved quickly so the party can proceed with the electoral process,’ he added.
