PPP Reform to announce board members

JAKARTA: The splinter group of the Muslim-based United
Development Party (PPP) will announce the members of its
executive board at Bung Karno Sports Stadium in Senayan here on
March 24.

The announcement will be made by PPP Reform's chairman
Zainuddin MZ, who will also speak about political issues.

"We are sure the event will be attended by our supporters. The
Consultative Body of Betawi (indigenous Jakartans) Community has
promised to mobilize its members," Ade Nasution, head of the
ceremony's committee, said on Tuesday.

Ade, a former member of the National Mandate Party, explained
that the executive board would consist of 20 people and would be
announced by Zainuddin himself.

The ceremony will be held at 1 p.m. and be highlighted with
performances by several noted singers, including Elvie Sukaesih,
Jamal Mirdad and Omas, he said.-- JP
