PPP, PBR to form one House faction

JAKARTA: The Reform Star Party (PBR) has welcomed an approach
from the United Development Party (PPP) to form a single faction
at the House of Representative, saying the move could bring forth
a reconciliation between the two parties.

"It is a good idea to have one faction because both parties
share similar platforms and goals," PBR deputy secretary-general
Miqdad Husein said on Wednesday.

PPP leader Hamzah Haz earlier called for a reunification of
the two Muslim-based parties. The PBR was established after calls
for reform within the PPP were not answered. --Antara
