The United Development Party (PPP) has organised a nationwide slaughter and distribution of sacrificial animals across Indonesia in observance of Eid al-Adha 1447 Hijriah. By Thursday morning (28 May), over 100 sacrificial animals had been distributed by PPP officials and members across various regions.

“Nationwide, PPP conducted simultaneous Qurban activities across Indonesia. As of this morning, I have received reports of over 100 animals distributed,” said PPP Chairman Muhamad Mardiono during the animal handover at the DKI Jakarta DPW PPP office.

Mardiono stated that this year’s Qurban activities by the PPP central and DKI Jakarta regional offices were concentrated at a single location before the meat was distributed to those in need.

“I attended the DKI Jakarta DPW PPP office today for the Qurban ritual involving cattle and goats. The central office provided five cattle, bringing the total to 11,” he explained.

He added that the Qurban ritual this year was not only an act of obedience to Allah SWT but also a demonstration of social care for fellow citizens.

“This Qurban event is not merely a spiritual occasion but also carries social significance, as the proceeds will be distributed to those in need to show solidarity,” he said.

Mardiono also extended appreciation to all PPP members across regions who participated in this year’s Qurban activities.

“I extend my best wishes to all PPP members in Indonesia for their Qurban observance and thank them for their participation in commemorating Eid al-Adha 1447 Hijriah. May our sincere intentions be accepted by Allah SWT and benefit those in need,” he concluded. (H-2)
