PPP Chairman Opens Simultaneous Regional Congresses Across DIY, Emphasising Cadre Solidarity

Kulon Progo (ANTARA) - General Chairman of the United Development Party (PPP) Muhamad Mardiono directly opened the PPP Branch Congress (Muscab) across the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY), held in Kulon Progo on Saturday.

“Insyaallah, I hope the implementation of the simultaneous Branch Congress across the Special Region of Yogyakarta runs smoothly, even though there is competition, but this must not become a arena for division and instead should be a momentum for strengthening and consolidating the party,” said Mardiono.

He emphasised that the Muscab must serve as a means to strengthen organisational consolidation. Especially in facing future political agendas, both at the regional and national levels.

“All PPP cadres in DIY are committed to continuously building solidarity at all levels. This can become our capital and strength towards the 2029 Elections, one of which is the nearest to face the verification of political party participants,” he said.

Kulon Progo Regent Agung Setyawan, who attended the event, expressed appreciation for Mardiono’s presence in Kulon Progo.

According to him, Mardiono is a leader figure with a track record of political struggle from the grassroots to the national level.

“He is one of the figures in Indonesian democracy. His struggle from the bottom to the national level is not a simple matter. This becomes an example for us all, especially those who have careers in the political world,” he said.

Agung hopes that the implementation of the PPP Muscab across DIY can run smoothly and produce leadership capable of strengthening the party’s role in the midst of society.
