PPP Chairman Mardiono Inaugurates Central Java Regional and Branch Executives

United Development Party (PPP) Chairman Muhamad Mardiono inaugurated the ranks of the Regional Executive Board (DPW) and Branch Executive Board (DPC) of PPP throughout Central Java at the Atria Hotel Magelang on Saturday, 18 July 2026. The inauguration was combined with a technical guidance activity attended by the ranks of administrators and members of the PPP faction throughout Central Java. This inauguration is a follow-up to the results of the Regional Conference (Muswil) and Branch Conference (Muscab) which have been carried out in accordance with organisational mechanisms, as stipulated in the PPP’s Articles of Association and Bylaws (AD/ART). The technical guidance activity served as a consolidation forum as well as a discussion of political strategy in facing the 2029 General Election. Mardiono said that the technical guidance is an important momentum to formulate the party’s political steps, including preparing the political party verification agenda as an initial stage towards the 2029 General Election. “We discussed various political steps to welcome the 2029 General Election, including preparing the party verification agenda,” Mardiono said. “All cadres must be ready to work from an early stage so that PPP becomes stronger in facing the upcoming contest.” Mardiono also reminded all cadres, both those in the management structure and those serving as members of the PPP Faction in the Regional People’s Representative Council (DPRD), to be in line with the government’s policy direction in implementing development programmes. Synergy between political parties and the government will make the implementation of various programmes more effective in realising public welfare. “I want cadres to be in line with the government’s pro-people programmes. Both party administrators and faction members must be part of the state’s efforts to change circumstances for the better for the welfare of the community and the people,” Mardiono said. He welcomed the joining of new figures from Boyolali Regency to PPP in this forum. The presence of these new cadres is expected to strengthen the party’s struggle in an area that has not succeeded in obtaining legislative seats for several periods. “Alhamdulillah, today there are new cadres from Boyolali whom I have also inaugurated. We hope they can become PPP fighters and revive the party’s strength in Boyolali Regency,” he said. Regarding the 2029 General Election target, Mardiono revealed that looking at the construction of vote acquisition in the 2024 General Election at the regional level, which still garnered around 8.5 million votes, he is optimistic that the party can qualify again and win seats in parliament in 2029. “Only the votes in the DPR RI have indeed decreased. So we need consolidation at the national to regional levels so that the vote acquisition is safe,” Mardiono said. “This is our capital to fight again, including our factions throughout Indonesia, there are 960 government officials, regents, deputy regents, deputy governors, deputy mayors, and deputy regents. God willing, we can capture even higher votes.” The inauguration activity for the ranks of the DPW and DPC PPP throughout Central Java and the technical guidance attended by administrators and members of the PPP faction throughout Central Java was also attended by the Mayor of Magelang, Damar Prasetyono. The event was coupled with charitable giving and sharing with 100 orphans.
