PPP cadres sue Taj Yasin and Agus Suparmanto in Central Jakarta District Court

A number of cadres of the United Development Party (PPP) have formally filed a civil suit against PPP Secretary-General Taj Yasin and PPP Deputy General Chairman Agus Suparmanto at the Central Jakarta District Court. The action was registered under the docket number PNJKT.PST-18052026XSJ on Monday, 18 May 2026. ‘Because previously, the decision of the PPP internal dispute-resolution team did not terminate as the cadres demanded,’ said the cadres’ lawyer, Fendy Ariyanto, when contacted by reporters on Tuesday, 19 May 2026. In addition, Agus Suparmanto’s status as a PPP cadre is also being questioned. ‘Both are considered to have caused a commotion within the party. Meanwhile, Mr Agus Suparmanto himself has never been registered as a PPP cadre,’ he said. From the eastern region, the plaintiffs include Khairul Amran, the Chairman of the PPP Bone Regency Branch, and Rangga Risaswar, the Secretary of the same branch. From Java, the plaintiffs include M. Nasir, the Chairman of the PPP South Jakarta Branch, and Uhen Zuhaeni, the Regional Secretary of the PPP Banten Provincial Leadership Council (DPW). From Sumatra, the suit was filed by Muhammad Sulaiman, Chairman of the PPP Palembang Branch, and Ahmad Zaky Wahid Amrullah, the Palembang Branch Secretary. On 23 April 2026, PPP Secretary-General Taj Yasin had responded to the planned civil case against him. ‘No problem. I will just follow. Go ahead,’ he said during the Agro Digital Week and Innovation event at Agro Center Soropadan, Temanggung Regency, Central Java. Yasin said he had not yet received direct information about the civil case in Semarang District Court and added, ‘We have not received direct information about the civil suit either.’
