PPP Cadres Report Three Individuals to Police Over Alleged Muktamar Document Forgery
A number of United Development Party (PPP) cadres have reported three individuals—M. Thobahul Aftoni, Saiful Hakim, and Subadri—to the Metro Jaya Regional Police over the alleged forgery of signatures and documents pertaining to the party’s muktamar held on 27 September 2025. The report was accompanied by the complainants’ legal counsel, Syamsul Ma’arif Wijaya.
According to Syamsul, there is an alleged forgery of signatures belonging to chairpersons of PPP Branch Executive Boards (DPC) from various regions, which were included in several muktamar documents, including attendance lists and other paperwork. “Today, five individuals reported the alleged signature forgery. They come from various regions, such as West Java, Bengkulu, and Southeast Sulawesi, as well as the General Chairman of PP GPK. Yet the victims stated they never signed these documents,” Syamsul said after filing the report at Metro Jaya Police on Tuesday, 16 June 2026.
Syamsul explained that the number of victims who allegedly had their signatures forged actually reaches hundreds of PPP DPC officials across various regions. However, for the initial stage, only five people have officially submitted reports to the police. “There are actually around 200 DPC victims from various regions. Today, only five have reported, and in the future, the number is likely to increase as the process of data collection and evidence gathering continues,” he stated.
According to him, the documents suspected of containing forged signatures were used in ongoing legal proceedings at the State Administrative Court (PTUN) and the District Court (PN). Therefore, his side believes the victims have suffered both legal and moral losses. “We are assisting the victims who feel aggrieved because their identities and signatures were used without consent. This concerns the integrity of the DPC chairpersons and has the potential to diminish trust in them,” he said.
The five complainants who have filed reports include Fadli, Chairman of PPP DPC Indramayu; Imam Fauzan A. Uskara, General Chairman of PP GPK and General Treasurer; Akhdan, Chairman of PPP DPC Kolaka Regency, Southeast Sulawesi; Ansori, Chairman of PPP DPC Seluma Regency, Bengkulu; and M. Rifki Saefudin, Chairman of PPP DPC Cirebon Regency.
