PPP Aceh Cadres Equipped with Strategies to Face 2029 Political Contest
The Central Leadership Board (DPP) of the United Development Party (PPP) attended the Regional Working Meeting (Rakerwil) of the Aceh PPP Regional Leadership Board (DPW) held at the Aceh PPP DPW Office on Friday, 18 September 2026.
The presence of the DPP officials at the Rakerwil was part of an effort to strengthen organisational consolidation and provide guidance to the PPP management and cadres in Aceh.
Two PPP central officials present at the event were the General Treasurer of the PPP DPP, Imam Fauzan Amir Uskara, and Hilman Ismail Metareum. Both provided briefings regarding organisational activities and the party’s political preparations for Aceh cadres.
The Chairman of the Aceh PPP DPW, Dr Amiruddin Idris, stated that the presence of the DPP officials provided strength to the regional management to formulate more directed organisational steps.
According to Amiruddin, the Rakerwil serves not only as a forum for evaluation and programme planning but also as a space to analyse political developments in Aceh and prepare cadres for upcoming political contests.
“We are conducting assessments of political opportunities, providing advice, and political training for our cadres. All of this is part of the preparation for facing the upcoming elections,” said Amiruddin.
During the Rakerwil, PPP Aceh also began discussing political mapping across various regions. This mapping will be conducted comprehensively to assess conditions, potential, and political opportunities to serve as material for formulating party strategies.
One of the prepared agendas is the process of scouting potential legislative candidates. Amiruddin mentioned that the scouting will be conducted in stages, starting from the regency/city, provincial, to the central level.
This step is being prepared as part of the PPP’s readiness for the 2029 General Election. However, the preparation process will remain in accordance with official regulations regarding election implementation.
“The scouting of candidates for the House of Representatives (DPR) will be conducted hierarchically, starting from the regency and city level, to the provincial and central levels,” he said.
Amiruddin added that early consolidation is necessary so that the PPP structure in Aceh has sufficient time to prepare cadres and the organisation for upcoming political agendas.
Following the Rakerwil, the PPP’s consolidation continues. On Saturday night, 19 September 2026, the General Chairman of the PPP DPP, Muhamad Mardiono, is scheduled to attend the inauguration of the Aceh DPW PPP management and the DPC PPP management for all regencies/cities across Aceh for the 2026–2031 period.
