PPKGBK Targets Completion of Hotel Sultan Evacuation Within One Month
The evacuation of the contents of the Hotel Sultan building in Central Jakarta has begun. The Gelora Bung Karno Complex Management Centre (PPKGBK) is targeting the complete clearance of the Hotel Sultan building within one month.
“It is expected that the overall evacuation process of the former Hotel Sultan can be completed within the next one month,” said PPKGBK legal counsel Kharis Sucipto when met at the Hotel Sultan area on Wednesday (24/6/2026).
Kharis explained that packing and loading of items into trailer trucks is currently underway. He stated the items will be stored at two locations in Bekasi, West Java.
“As of today, 24 June 2026, the process is ongoing, namely the transfer of items for storage in designated warehouses,” he said.
He stated the first warehouse is located at the Cikarang G2C Warehouse Complex, Block CF Number 2, Pasiranji Village, Cikarang Pusat District, Bekasi Regency, West Java. This first warehouse is used to store items from the hotel.
The second warehouse is located in the MM2100 Industrial Estate, Jalan Selayar 2 Block 1/5, Cikedokan Village, Cikarang Barat District, Bekasi Regency, West Java.
PPKGBK stated they will store these items for six months. He confirmed the items will be well maintained.
“It is confirmed that everything can be well maintained until the period determined by the court, which is six months from the date of the execution report on 18 June 2026. So indeed, the execution applicant, in this case the State Secretariat and GBK, is responsible for storing the items for the next six months,” he said.
Kharis also explained that PPKGBK is still covering all costs for transporting the items. However, he did not disclose the required amount.
“As for the costs, for the time being they are advanced by the execution applicant. That is the legal procedure. By the execution applicant, the State Secretariat and GBK,” he added.
