PPK Kemayoran Strengthens 'Sport Tourism' Potential to Boost Competitiveness
The Kemayoran Complex Management Center (PPK Kemayoran), a Public Service Agency (BLU) under the Ministry of State Secretariat, is strengthening the potential of sport tourism in the area to boost its competitiveness. One such initiative is the hosting of a padel tournament, which serves not only as a sporting competition but also as a platform to build synergy among stakeholders involved in the area’s development. “This tournament is not just a sporting event, but also a means to strengthen togetherness and collaboration, in line with our theme of One Team, One Goal,” said Yudi Sugara, Director of Area Empowerment at PPK Kemayoran, in Jakarta on Sunday. The tournament, part of the 41st anniversary celebrations of PPK Kemayoran, saw participation from 28 men’s teams and 20 women’s teams. Beyond the main competition, the event featured supporting activities such as a coaching clinic with professional players and fun games. PPK Kemayoran is currently developing various sports facilities and public spaces as part of its area development strategy. In addition to the padel courts, the complex already features a jogging track, and the management is undertaking the revitalisation of the Kemayoran Indah Golf course.
