Banda Aceh (ANTARA) - The Hajj Pilgrimage Organising Officers (PPIH) for the Aceh Embarkation have received one unit of buggy car (lightweight vehicle) from the regional-owned Bank Aceh Syariah (BAS) to facilitate the mobilisation of prospective Hajj pilgrims (JCH) from Aceh who are elderly (lansia) and have special needs.

“Alhamdulillah, we have received the buggy car aid from Bank Aceh Syariah; this is very beneficial for the pilgrims, especially the elderly and those with disabilities,” said the Head of PPIH for the Aceh Embarkation, Arijal, in Banda Aceh on Thursday.

Arijal stated that the buggy car is a very important facility as a local transportation tool for the pilgrims while they are at the Aceh Embarkation Hajj Dormitory. Especially for elderly pilgrims and those with disabilities.

On this occasion, Arijal expressed thanks to Bank Aceh Syariah for its concern towards the prospective Hajj pilgrims from Aceh, so that the officers are now facilitated in mobilising the pilgrims.

“Thank you for the attention from Bank Aceh Syariah in supporting the 2026 Hajj pilgrimage programme; this aid is very helpful for us at the Hajj Dormitory,” he said.

“This aid is to help mobilise pilgrims, especially the elderly and those with health limitations while in the dormitory environment,” said Fadhil Ilyas.

Fadhil conveyed that the provision of the buggy car is also a response to the field needs of pilgrim services, as well as support for a more friendly and inclusive Hajj pilgrimage organisation.

“We have fulfilled the expectation of one unit of buggy car to help mobilise elderly pilgrims and those with special needs. Alhamdulillah, it has been used since the first batch,” he said.

He emphasised that Bank Aceh Syariah will continue to strive for sustainable service improvements, not only through banking products and services, but also contributions that provide direct benefits to the community.

“We continue to commit to improving services. We also hope to the customers and the wider family present to invite relatives, friends, and other family members to utilise and take advantage of Bank Aceh Hajj savings in the future,” he said.

Fadhil added that support for the Hajj pilgrimage organisation is part of the bank’s role as a regional financial institution that is not only business-oriented but also has social responsibility in serving the community.

With this aid, it is hoped that the pilgrim service and mobilisation process at the Aceh Embarkation Hajj Dormitory can run more effectively, and provide additional comfort for the pilgrims.

“May this vehicle improve pilgrim services, especially for those who need special attention during the 2026 Hajj pilgrimage series,” thus said Fadhil Ilyas.
