PPIH: One Aceh Hajj Pilgrim Dies in Arafat

It has been confirmed that one Aceh Hajj pilgrim died in Makkah this morning. The Aceh Hajj Service Agency (PPIH) reported the death due to health issues. ‘Yes, one Aceh Hajj pilgrim died in Makkah this morning,’ said PPIH Aceh Embarkation Head Arijal during confirmation in Banda Aceh on Tuesday. He identified the deceased as Nurwaida Muhammad Yusuf, 76, from Bireuen Regency, part of Kloter 8. Arijal added that the body was taken to a hospital before burial in the Holy Land and expressed condolences. Of the total 5,484 Aceh Hajj pilgrims in Makkah, one remains under treatment at King Abdulaziz Hospital. Mahdi Muhammad Sufi from Kloter 2 has not regained consciousness and will have his Hajj cancelled. ‘This pilgrim was admitted to hospital a day before departing for Arafat and remains unconscious, so his Hajj will be cancelled,’ Arijal said.
