Jakarta (ANTARA) – The latest survey by Parameter Politik Indonesia (PPI) found President Prabowo Subianto leading other candidates tested in three presidential election simulations.

Executive Director Adi Prayitno presented the findings of the national survey, “Evaluation of the Prabowo-Gibran Government’s Two Years”, in Jakarta on Sunday. He said PPI had conducted three simulations to measure candidate electability: an open-ended simulation, one featuring 17 candidates, and one featuring five presidential candidates. Respondents were asked the same question in each: “If the presidential election were held today, who would you choose as President of the Republic of Indonesia?”

In the open-ended simulation, which included 20 public figures, regional leaders, ministers and presidents, Prabowo ranked first, receiving 31.6 per cent of responses from 1,200 respondents. West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi came second with 11.4 per cent, followed by Anies Baswedan on 10.1 per cent, Gibran Rakabuming Raka on 6.9 per cent and Ganjar Pranowo on 4.4 per cent.

Others included Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung, on 0.6 per cent; political party leader and coordinating minister Muhaimin Iskandar, and party figure and coordinating minister Sugiono, both on 0.2 per cent; and Presidential Advisory Council member Rocky Gerung, Abdul Somad, party leader Kaesang Pangarep, Youth and Sports Minister Erick Thohir, party leader and coordinating minister Bahlil Lahadalia, and Coordinating Minister for Legal Affairs, Human Rights, Immigration and Corrections Yusril Ihza Mahendra, each on 0.1 per cent.

In the second simulation, involving 17 political party leaders and figures who might be put forward by non-parliamentary and new parties, Prabowo again led, with 34 per cent. He was followed by Anies Baswedan on 19.4 per cent, Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono on 11.1 per cent, Gibran Rakabuming Raka on 10.9 per cent and Muhaimin Iskandar on 3 per cent.

Yusril Ihza Mahendra received 1.7 per cent, followed by Pramono Anung on 1.6 per cent, House of Representatives Speaker Puan Maharani on 1.4 per cent, Kaesang Pangarep on 1.3 per cent, party leader Surya Paloh on 1.1 per cent, party leader and coordinating minister Zulkifli Hasan on 0.8 per cent, Bahlil Lahadalia on 0.6 per cent, party leader Muhammad Mardiono on 0.5 per cent, party leader Al Muzzammil Yusuf on 0.4 per cent, party leader and deputy minister Anis Matta on 0.3 per cent, and party leader Angela Tanoesoedibjo on 0.2 per cent.

The PPI national survey, which focused on the two years of President Prabowo and Vice-President Gibran Rakabuming’s administration, was conducted through face-to-face interviews with 1,200 respondents between 26 September and 6 October 2026.

Respondents were aged at least 17 or married, and were drawn from 38 provinces, 116 regencies and cities, 120 districts, and 120 villages or urban wards.

The survey had a stated confidence level of 95 per cent and a margin of error of 2.83 percentage points.
