PPI Distributes 13 Pesticide Sprayers to Boost Farming Efficiency in Indramayu and Majalengka

PT Perusahaan Perdagangan Indonesia (Persero), or PPI, has distributed 13 pesticide sprayers to farmer groups (Gapoktan) in Indramayu and Majalengka Regencies, West Java. The assistance is intended to support the productivity and efficiency of farming activities in the operational area of PPI’s Cirebon Madya Branch.

Plt Head of the Corporate Secretariat and TJSL at PPI, Eka Noprizal, stated that the aid was provided to three Gapoktan spread across the two regencies. “This programme is a follow-up to support the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) Number 8, concerning Decent Work and Economic Growth, through efforts to increase productivity in the agricultural sector,” Eka said in a written statement in Jakarta on Tuesday (11/8/2026).

Eka expressed hope that the agricultural equipment assistance would improve the effectiveness of farming activities carried out by Gapoktan members in both regions. He noted that the programme also represents support for farmers’ welfare while simultaneously strengthening partnerships with farmer groups in the PPI Cirebon Madya Branch’s operational area.

“Beyond being a form of social responsibility, this programme is also an effort by PPI to strengthen partnership relations with farmers who use Dharmabrand products,” Eka said. The series of activities also included a One Day Sales (ODS) programme, which served as a means to enhance interaction with farmers while supporting the utilisation of Dharmabrand products in the field.

“Through this sprayer assistance programme, PPI hopes to provide tangible benefits to farmers, particularly in increasing productivity and work efficiency,” Eka concluded. He also expressed hope that the assistance would strengthen partnerships with farmer groups and contribute to the economic development of communities in the PPI Cirebon Madya Branch’s operational area.
