PP Persis Appreciates Smooth 2026 Hajj with Improved Services
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The General Secretary of the Central Board of Persatuan Islam (PP Persis), Haris Muslim, has expressed appreciation for the smooth implementation of the 1447 Hijriah/2026 Masehi Hajj pilgrimage, marked by improvements in services for the congregation. “Overall, the implementation of the 1447 Hijriah Hajj season went smoothly and successfully. The mobilisation and arrangement of pilgrims, especially in Armuzna, was better than in previous years,” said Haris Muslim in a statement in Jakarta, Thursday. Haris Muslim, who also serves as a Musyrif Diny for the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah of the Republic of Indonesia, stated that the most visible indicator of success was the smooth movement of pilgrims to Arafah, Muzdalifah, and Mina. He explained that all pilgrims participating in the regular scheme had arrived at Arafah on the night of 9 Zulhijah, while those on the Tarwiyah programme were also at Arafah before midday. Additionally, this year’s mabit and murur in Muzdalifah were among the best. “By 7:00 AM on the 10th of Zulhijah, all pilgrims had moved towards Mina. Muzdalifah was clear from the morning. This is an achievement rarely seen in previous years,” he said. Besides pilgrim mobilisation, Haris also appreciated the management of the Dam or hadyu, which was deemed more orderly than in previous Hajj seasons. Through the official Adahi system managed by the Saudi Arabian government, the slaughtering of Dam could be carried out in a more controlled manner and in accordance with Sharia provisions.
