PP Persis Appreciates Smooth 2026 Hajj with Improved Services

Jakarta (ANTARA) - The General Secretary of the Central Leadership of Persatuan Islam (PP Persis), Haris Muslim, has expressed appreciation for the smooth conduct of the 1447 Hijri/2026 CE Hajj pilgrimage, which was marked by several service improvements for pilgrims.

“In general, the implementation of the Hajj in 1447 Hijri has proceeded smoothly and successfully. The mobilisation and arrangement of pilgrims, particularly in Armuzna, can be considered better than in previous years,” Haris Muslim stated in a briefing in Jakarta on Thursday.

Haris Muslim, who also serves as a Musyrif Dini from the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah of the Republic of Indonesia, noted that the most visible indicator of success was the smooth movement of pilgrims towards Arafah, Muzdalifah, and Mina.

He explained that all pilgrims following the regular scheme arrived at Arafah on the night of 9 Zulhijah, while those participating in the Tarwiyah programme had already reached Arafah before noon.

Furthermore, the implementation of the mabit and murur processes in Muzdalifah this year was considered one of the best.

“By 07:00 AM on 10 Zulhijah, all pilgrims had already moved towards Mina. Muzdalifah was cleared since the early morning. This is an achievement that rarely occurred in previous years,” he said.

In addition to pilgrim mobilisation, Haris also praised the management of Dam or hadyu, which was deemed more orderly than in previous Hajj seasons. Through the official Adahi system managed by the Saudi Arabian Government, the slaughtering of Dam can be conducted in a more controlled manner and in accordance with Sharia provisions.
