PP Muhammadiyah will distribute 20 sacrificial cows to mark Eid al-Adha 1447 AH, with distribution to branch offices down to grassroots level. ‘This year we received 20 cows, including those from the President and Vice President. From these 20, we will redistribute them to Muhammadiyah regional leaders, branches, and even grassroots units,’ said Pachrul Septiana, Chairman of the Eid al-Adha Committee for PP Muhammadiyah, to journalists on Wednesday (27 May 2026). Pachrul stated that distribution will prioritise the Jabodetabek area, with slaughtering and meat distribution taking place tomorrow, Thursday (28 May). ‘We will distribute them tomorrow, Thursday, H+1, at the PP Muhammadiyah building. Because since COVID, we did not conduct slaughtering at the office, and since then we have been using RPH (slaughterhouses),’ he added. This morning, PP Muhammadiyah held Eid al-Adha prayers at its office compound in Menteng, Central Jakarta, with congregants observed in deep concentration. Attendees participated alongside their families; the khutbah was delivered by Hilman Latief, with Ustadz Teguh Agus Wahyuda serving as imam. Eid al-Adha 1447 AH falls on Wednesday (27 May), with the government and Muhammadiyah observing the festival simultaneously in 2026.
