PP Muhammadiyah Praises Smooth 2026 Eid Exodus: Thanks to Police Chief and Team
The Central Board of Muhammadiyah has appreciated the security arrangements for the Eid exodus and return flows during Lebaran 2026, carried out by Polri in synergy with all relevant stakeholders. This year’s traveller movements were deemed smooth and safe. “Alhamdulillah, the Eid exodus ran smoothly; thanks to the Police Chief and his team, as well as local governments, for their policy arrangements in handling the exodus and return flows,” said Dadang Kahmad, Chairman of PP Muhammadiyah, when contacted on Monday (30/3/2026). Dadang hopes that Polri can enhance this positive achievement during next year’s Operation Ketupat period. “May it be maintained and improved further in the future,” he added. Polri has officially ended Operation Ketupat 2026, followed by Enhanced Routine Activities (KRYD) until 29 March in line with instructions from Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo. Polri recorded success in reducing road fatality rates during this year’s humanitarian operation. Previously, the Head of the National Traffic Corps of Polri, Inspector General Agus Suryonugroho, stated that based on data from the IRSMS application of the National Traffic Corps, the number of fatalities (MD) during this year’s exodus and return period experienced a significant decline of 104 people, or 30.41%. The total number of national traffic accidents also showed a 5.31% decrease, or 153 fewer incidents compared to last year. In addition, this year’s Operation Ketupat recorded zero prominent accidents. Polri’s success in curbing fatality rates is also the result of implementing measured traffic engineering, such as the National One Way to Precision Segment One Way. Furthermore, the use of modern technology such as Precision ETLE Patrol, Mobile Command Centre, and Body Cam supported quick decision-making in the field. Synergy among stakeholders and humanistic services became the main keys to the success of Operation Ketupat 2026 in line with the spirit of ‘Safe Exodus, Happy Family’. Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo expressed thanks to all field officers who worked hard to secure the 2026 exodus and return flows. He also appreciated the synergy and collaboration of all stakeholders in realising a safe and comfortable exodus in accordance with the 2026 exodus tagline ‘Safe Exodus, Happy Family’.
