PP AMPG consolidates cooperation with Malaysia's Pemuda UMNO

Friends from Pemuda UMNO visited us with the aim of jointly reinforcing steps for the interests of the nation and the state in carrying out social and humanitarian roles and duties, Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Central Leadership of the Angkatan Muda Partai Golkar (PP AMPG) consolidated cooperation with one of Malaysia’s party youth organisations, Pemuda UMNO Malaysia. The consolidation was undertaken to respond to the situation in the Middle East following the US and Israel’s attack on Iran. “Friends from Pemuda UMNO visited us with the aim of jointly strengthening steps for the interests of the nation and the state in fulfilling social and humanitarian roles and duties,” said PP AMPG Chairman Said Aldi Al Idrus in a statement in Jakarta, Friday. In addition, he said the meeting was held so that in future the youths affiliated with political parties in Southeast Asia can resolve conflicts or issues between nations that cannot be resolved by governments. “Hopefully with this cooperation in place, it will strengthen the relation between the two organisations, enrich the life of the nation, and be useful for the peoples of both countries,” he said. Meanwhile, Pemuda UMNO Malaysia Chairman Muhamad Akmal Saleh said the cooperation between the two organisations will continue to be strengthened. For example, he said, in May 2026 there will be strengthened youth networks up to business matching or a business pairing. “With today’s meeting, Pemuda UMNO and AMPG can further establish themselves as a party cadre laboratory as well as a strategic platform for the younger generation in political contribution and nation-building,” he said.
