Power Outages Disrupt Cirebon Wood Craftsmen, Customers Complain Over Delays

Recurring power outages over the past few weeks have severely disrupted the operations of wood ornament and furniture craftsmen in Cirebon, West Java, leading to delays and customer complaints. The blackouts have crippled production, which is entirely dependent on electrical power for every stage, from computer-aided design to cutting and finishing. Craftsman Nico Sparta explained that the outages, which have occurred repeatedly, including a recent one lasting four hours from Ashar until after Maghrib, have caused significant delays. He noted that the power cuts are particularly damaging when they are working against tight deadlines to complete customer orders, resulting in complaints about late deliveries.
