Power Outage in Several Jakarta Areas Due to Disruption

Electricity in several areas of Jakarta has gone out. The power outage occurred due to a disruption. PLN Unit Induk Distribusi Jakarta Raya (UID Jaya/Disjaya) has confirmed a gradual power outage is taking place. PLN is now carrying out the normalisation of electricity. “It is true that there is a disruption occurring gradually, and efforts are being made for normalisation,” said the Communications Manager of PLN UID Jaya/Disjaya, Intan Nugrahani, when contacted on Thursday (9/4/2026). There is no further information yet on when the outage will be resolved. Several areas in South Jakarta have experienced power cuts.
