Power Outage Causes Two Green Line KRL Trains to Stop on Tracks Between Kebayoran and Sudimara Stations
JAKARTA - A power outage on the electric rail train (KRL) route from Tanah Abang to Rangkasbitung went viral on social media on Tuesday night (21/4/2026). The incident was posted by a netizen via the X social media account @cacaancat at 6:42 PM WIB. The post showed the atmosphere inside the carriage, which was almost dark and quiet. However, several passengers and one KRL officer were inside the carriage. “Just now, the Rangkas-Tanah Abang KRL stopped because the lights went out and it’s not moving ???????? @CommuterLine,” stated @cacaancat in the post. The outage of the Auxiliary Power Supply (LAA) was due to the supply from the Limo PLN Traction Substation failing starting at 6:35 PM WIB. “The LAA power supply on the Kebayoran Station-Sudimara Station line went out starting in the afternoon,” said Leza in a press statement confirmed by Kompas.com on Thursday (21/4/2026). Due to this LAA outage, Commuter Line services on the Tanah Abang-Rangkasbitung line experienced delays and journey queues. “Commuter Line No. 1766 and 1768 are stopped between Kebayoran Station and Sudimara Station,” Leza revealed. At 7:19 PM WIB, the electricity supply from PLN returned to normal. Currently, KRL journeys are reported to be running normally.
