Potholes on Jl. Raya Bogor

The daily congestion on Jl. Raya Bogor, the old Jakarta-Bogor
road, in the vicinity of the Police Hospital (Rumah Sakit Polri)
is caused by a deep and wide pothole. Another factor contributing
to the traffic jam is the disorderly manner in which public
vehicle drivers drive.

The East Jakarta public works agency seems to have no wish at
all to repair the vital road. It has been in this state for quite
some time. The agency once referred the matter to the Jakarta
public works regional office.

Road users want the road repaired soonest. It does not matter
who does the repairs, the Jakarta public works or its East
Jakarta subsidiary. It is up to them to work it out.
