Posyandu and PKK Cadres Key to Klungkung Winning Stunting Reduction Award

The Klungkung Regency Government has won the detikBali-Nusra Award 2026 in the category of ‘Transformation of Health Services in Stunting Management’. The award was presented by detikcom Editor-in-Chief Ardhi Suryadhi to Klungkung Regent I Made Satria, represented by the Head of the Klungkung Regency Brida, I Ketut Budiarta, at the Grand Ballroom of The Trans Resort Bali on Friday (3/7/2026). After receiving the award, Budiarta expressed his highest appreciation for the detikBali-Nusra Awards 2026. He said the award serves as motivation and encouragement to continue doing the best for the local community. ‘On behalf of Klungkung Regent I Made Satria, we thank detikcom for this award. Hopefully, this will motivate Klungkung in eradicating stunting and poverty,’ said Budiarta. He also dedicated the award to all Posyandu cadres, PKK members, and traditional villages, as well as all parties who have shown high commitment to providing health services to the community. Under Satria’s leadership, Klungkung Regency successfully carved a sweet history on the national stage in handling stunting. A number of strategic steps were taken to bring Bumi Serombotan to become the region with the lowest stunting prevalence rate in Indonesia in 2025. Based on data from the Klungkung Health Office, the stunting rate in this regency plummeted from 19.40 percent in 2021 to 3.21 percent as of December 2025. The success in reducing the stunting rate to such an impressive point led Klungkung to sweep various prestigious awards from the central government. This string of achievements resulted in a fiscal incentive fund of Rp 5.6 billion, handed over directly by Indonesian Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka to Satria. Furthermore, at the National Governance Awards (NGA) 2026, Satria also won the award for Top Regency in Healthcare Access & Social Protection. The Ministry of Health has even officially designated Klungkung as a national learning locus for other regions.
