'Post' wins Adam Malik Award

Six mass media organizations received the 2004 Adam Malik Award from the foreign affairs ministry for their outstanding reporting of international events in 2004, mainly connected to the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).

They were assessed in three basic categories: accuracy in presenting facts, balanced and objective opinions and the educational value of their reports. The Adam Malik Award began in 2002 as the ministry's way of showing appreciation for professional journalism.

The awards were presented by Minister Hassan Wirayuda to chief editors or their representatives in a ceremony at the ministry on Wednesday.
