I am disappointed with the Post Office. On Sunday, Oct. 9,
1994, I went to Pasar Baru General Post Office (GPO) at 4 p.m. to
send a letter by Patas post. I was following the suggestion of
the Post Office on Jl. Pemuda in East Jakarta. I hurried to the
GPO only to find that it had already closed.

I wonder why the capital's GPO closes at 4 p.m. on a Sunday. I
am sure that many people, particularly tourists, want the service
after these hours. There happened to be two Australian tourists
who wanted to send letters.

I suggest that the GPO provided 24-hour service. The
magnificent building should be equaled with outstanding service.
