Post-OTT of Tulungagung Regent, Infrastructure Projects Continue
Tulungagung, East Java (ANTARA) - The Tulungagung Regency Government in East Java has assured that infrastructure development projects will continue following the Corruption Eradication Commission’s sting operation (OTT) against inactive Regent Gatut Sunu Wibowo. Acting Regent (Plt) Ahmad Baharudin, in Tulungagung on Monday, stated that all physical development programmes, especially road infrastructure, will be implemented according to plan. “There is nothing to worry about; services will continue as usual, and physical development projects will proceed,” he said. He explained that the development projects are outlined in the Regional Government Work Plan (RKPD) as the basis for compiling the 2026 Regional Budget (APBD), so they cannot be changed unilaterally. According to him, projects that have gone through the tender process will soon be executed, while those not yet tendered will continue according to stages. Projects already underway are ensured to be completed. “Everything will proceed according to mechanism, whether already tendered or still in process,” he said. Baharudin also assured that public services in the local government environment will continue normally and urged the public to remain calm and maintain a conducive situation. He added that the local government will continue to implement priority programmes by prioritising community interests and caution in policy-making following the OTT incident.
