Post offices sell insurance

JAKARTA (JP): The state-owned postal firm PT Pos Indonesia has
agreed to help the Astra Group sell its insurance services in
various cities.

Astra said in a statement here Saturday that under a
memorandum of understanding between the two parties, Pos
Indonesia will provide information and services on automobile,
accident and fire insurance for PT Asuransi Astra Buana at its
offices in the Greater Jakarta Area, Bandung, Semarang, Solo,
Surabaya, Medan and Ujungpandang.

The statement said that the insurance company has trained some
employees of the postal firms in technical details and procedures
of insurance services.(kod)
