Karawang (ANTARA) - The post-Lebaran return traffic on the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road is still being felt on Tuesday, with high vehicle volumes continuing to pass through the route.

Corporate Secretary & Legal of PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol, Ria Marlinda Paallo, stated in Karawang on Tuesday that during the period from Eid al-Fitr Day H to H+9 (21–30 March 2026), a total of 670,470 vehicles passed through towards Jakarta via the Cikampek Utama Toll Gate.

The number of vehicles passing through increased significantly by 135.77% compared to the normal traffic figure of 284,375 vehicles.

Meanwhile, traffic data for the period H-10 to H+9 (11–30 March 2026) recorded 846,535 vehicles from the Eastern Trans Java region, an increase of 51.22% compared to normal traffic of 559,820 vehicles.

For the data from shift 1 on 31 March 2026, 10,607 vehicles were recorded, an increase of 36.18% from normal traffic of 7,789 vehicles.

“These data indicate that the return flow from the Eastern Trans Java region is still ongoing,” she said.

Ria stated that, along with the end of the mudik and return Lebaran period, JTT continues to optimise services at the Cikampek Utama Toll Gate by operating 17 toll booths for the Jakarta direction and 13 toll booths for the Java direction.

In addition, through PT Jasamarga Semarang Batang, the company is still implementing a 23% toll fare discount for all transactions on the Batang–Semarang Toll Road section, valid until 31 March 2026.

“This policy is expected to provide direct benefits to road users while helping to distribute traffic,” she said.

Meanwhile, for vehicles heading to the Eastern Trans Java region via the Cikampek Utama Toll Gate, 340,444 vehicles were recorded, up 20.26% compared to normal traffic of 283,095 vehicles.
