Post-Lebaran Day 7, Pelni Transports 153,433 Passengers in Return Flow

PT Pelni (Persero), or Pelni, has reported serving 153,433 passengers during the Lebaran return flow period from 23 to 29 March 2026, with the highest realisation of 25,635 passengers on 28 March 2026. “We are optimistic that the number of passengers will continue to increase until the return flow period ends on 6 April 2026,” said Pelni’s President Director, Tri Andayani, also known as Anda, in Jakarta on Sunday. During the Lebaran return flow period from 23 March to 6 April 2026, Pelni reported ticket sales reaching 268,746 tickets as of 29 March 2026. Meanwhile, for the overall Lebaran transportation period from 6 March to 6 April 2026, ticket sales have reached 585,744 tickets, or 91.4 percent of the projection of 641,025 tickets for Lebaran 2026. One factor driving the increase in Pelni ship passengers during the 2026 Lebaran period is the transportation discount programme in the form of a 30 percent reduction from the normal ticket price. As of 28 March 2026, the realisation of passengers utilising the discount has reached 431,705 passengers, or around 96.9 percent of the projection of 445,534 passengers for the departure period from 11 March to 5 April 2026. The programme runs from 11 February 2026 until the quota is exhausted or at the latest for departures on 5 April 2026.
