Post-Lebaran, Bekasi City Government Implements WFA for Civil Servants Until 27 March 2026
Bekasi City Government is implementing a work from anywhere (WFA) scheme for some civil servants (ASN) after the Eid al-Fitr 1447 H holiday until Friday (27/3/2026). This policy is contained in the Circular of the Mayor of Bekasi Number 800.1.5/1192/BKPSDM/PKA on Adjustments to the Implementation of Civil Service Duties for ASN during the Eid al-Fitr 1447 H Joint Leave and Nyepi Day Holiday Period. Of the total 19,425 ASN in Bekasi City, 12,017 employees or 61.9 percent are carrying out duties under the WFA scheme on Friday. Meanwhile, 7,411 ASN or 38.2 percent continue to work from the office or work from office (WFO). Bekasi City Government states that this policy is taken to provide work flexibility while maintaining the effectiveness of apparatus performance after the long Lebaran holiday. With this system, ASN are expected to continue carrying out civil service duties without disrupting the quality of services to the public. “I ensure that all regional apparatus remain on standby, so public services in Bekasi City run normally as usual. This work system adjustment must not disrupt services to the public,” said Bekasi Mayor Tri Adhianto in his statement on Friday. Tri added that the period after the Lebaran holiday is an important momentum for ASN to refocus on work and improve performance. With this WFA policy, Bekasi City Government hopes that the post-Lebaran transition will run smoothly without reducing the quality of public services.
