'Post' improved
After over seven years in Jakarta, and as many years as a subscriber to The Jakarta Post, I would like to extend my compliments to your publication. Especially noteworthy is the improvement in overall quality of the Post, as you have grown away from frequent misspellings, cutline mis-labeling of photographs and other editorial gaffs that were so common when I first subscribed.
Also, I'm very pleased to see that you have recently begun screening-out most of the inane "Letters" from readers who apparently only desired to be publicly argumentative or to simply see their names in print.
Other improvements include introduction of the Sunday edition (and its The World Paper insert), more insightful Editorials and more accurate reporting in the "Business News" section. In spite of the government regulations limiting the total number of pages you may print in any given issue, you are succeeding in providing a comprehensive, concise package of English reporting. Keep up the good work and I'll look forward to continued improvements.
