JAKARTA - The post-Eid return traffic on the Trans-Java Toll Road continues to rise. PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT) has recorded a surge in vehicles heading to Jakarta through the Cikampek Utama Toll Gate.

A total of 315,220 vehicles were recorded passing towards Jakarta. This volume represents a 124.18% increase compared to normal traffic of 140,611 vehicles.

JTT Corporate Secretary & Legal Director Ria Marlinda Paallo stated that the rise is influenced by high public mobility during the return flow.

“This increase is also driven by the implementation of a 30% toll discount,” said Ria in an official statement on Thursday (26/3/2026).

The discount applies from 26 March 2026 at 00:00 WIB until 27 March 2026 at 24:00 WIB.

A toll discount is also provided on the Batang-Semarang section. It amounts to 23% for all transactions. This policy is in effect from 12 March to 31 March 2026.

“This policy is expected to help distribute traffic more evenly while providing direct benefits to road users,” explained Ria.

Data for the period H-10 to H+4, or 11 to 25 March 2026, shows 491,285 vehicles originating from the eastern Trans-Java region. This figure is up 18.08% from the normal 416,056 vehicles.

Shift 1 data on 26 March 2026 recorded 21,910 vehicles. This number surged 168.01% compared to the normal 8,175 vehicles.

“The high traffic volume indicates that the return flow movement is still ongoing and is expected to continue increasing,” she said.

Traffic towards the east is also rising. Vehicles heading to the eastern Trans-Java region through the Cikampek Utama Toll Gate totalled 206,785 units. This is a 49.77% increase from the normal 138,072 vehicles.

Surges have also occurred at several other toll gates. In Central Java, vehicles leaving Semarang through the Kalikangkung Toll Gate reached 217,055 units. This is a 186.61% increase from normal conditions.

Traffic towards Semarang through the same gate reached 109,523 vehicles, up 44.23%.
