Jakarta (ANTARA) - Passenger volume at Kalideres Terminal in West Jakarta has eased again during the post-Eid return flow on H+6, Friday.

The Head of Kalideres Terminal, Nur Prasetyo, via a brief message to ANTARA in Jakarta on Friday, stated that from 00:00 to 18:00 WIB, the number of arriving passengers reached 1,305 people.

This figure is down from the number of arriving passengers the previous day, Thursday (26/3), which reached 1,750.

“It is likely to surge again on Saturday (28/3), which will then become the peak of the return flow at Kalideres Terminal,” said Prasetyo.

According to Prasetyo, the predicted peak time for the return flow coincides with the weekend.

“It is likely to get busy tomorrow, coinciding with the weekend,” Prasetyo emphasised.

This prediction is also supported by the fact that tickets from bus companies (PO) operating at Kalideres Terminal for Saturday (28/3) have been snapped up by returning passengers.

“Because I asked the PO, many Saturday tickets are already sold out for destinations to Jakarta,” said Prasetyo.

His side also urged returning passengers and bus operators to drop off mudik returnees inside the terminal.

“Integrated posts are available at every terminal. So, we ask that boarding and alighting be done inside the terminal because security is more guaranteed. If any unpleasant incidents occur, reporting can be done more quickly,” he said.

Previously, Transjakarta had prepared 10 units of night transport (Amari) at Kalideres Terminal in West Jakarta to anticipate the surge in returning passengers during the Eid holiday.

“Yes, for special preparations, we are cooperating with Transjakarta, including with Mikrotrans. Around 5 to 10 additional fleets beyond the regular ones,” said Kalideres Terminal Head Nur Prasetyo when contacted in Jakarta on Tuesday night (24/3).

Pras said that the Amari fleet would operate from 22:00 to 00:00 WIB.

“That is for night transport from 10:00 to 00:00,” said Pras.

Kalideres Terminal began showing a surge in post-Eid holiday return flow in 2026 with 1,609 arriving passengers on Tuesday (24/3) from 00:00 to 22:00 WIB.

The surge in passenger arrivals occurred partly following the start of workdays for some of the public on Wednesday (25/3).
