The Bali Police Food Security Task Force (Satgas Saber Pangan) carried out inspections at several distribution points and modern markets in Denpasar, Bali, on Tuesday (7/4/2026). This step was taken to ensure that prices of essential needs remain stable.

From the results of on-site monitoring, prices of several food commodities in the Bali region, particularly in Denpasar City, were observed to be relatively stable. Supplies of basic goods such as rice, beef, chicken, cooking oil, and caster sugar were also deemed sufficient to meet public needs.

The Head of Public Relations of Bali Police, Commissioner Ariasandy, stated that this supervision is a preventive measure to anticipate any unscrupulous business actors who take advantage of the post-Eid momentum by raising prices unjustly.

“Bali Police through the Food Security Task Force continues to monitor the distribution and prices of basic goods. From the inspection results, prices are still relatively stable, stocks are safe, and no sales above the Maximum Retail Price (HET) were found,” said Ariasandy on Tuesday (7/4/2026).

During the inspection, officers directly checked selling prices in the field, compliance with the HET, and ensured that stocks of strategic commodities were available at the distributor and modern market levels.

In addition, officers also engaged in direct dialogue with traders and market managers to ensure there were no practices of hoarding or price increases that did not comply with regulations.

According to Ariasandy, this supervision is a form of commitment by Bali Police together with related agencies to maintain price stability and provide a sense of security to the public in meeting daily needs.

“If violations are found, sanctions will certainly be imposed in stages, starting from written warnings to revocation of business permits in accordance with applicable rules,” he emphasised.

This supervision also involved several agencies, including the Bali Police Criminal Investigation Directorate, National Food Agency (Bapanas), Agriculture and Food Security Office, Industry and Trade Office, Investment and One-Stop Integrated Services Office, and Perum Bulog.
