Post-Eid Holiday, Central Java Governor Urges Civil Servants Not to Slack in Serving the Public
Governor Ahmad Luthfi stated that the Eid al-Fitr momentum is not only an occasion for mutual forgiveness but also for strengthening solidarity among institutions within the Central Java Provincial Government environment.
He emphasised that all elements of the government must work in unison. This is because public services cannot be carried out independently but are supported by collaboration among all stakeholders, including district and city governments.
Luthfi also urged his subordinates to maintain the spirit of togetherness, considering that public services in Central Java cover a wide area, both in terms of territory and population. Therefore, every regional apparatus is required to support one another in carrying out their duties.
“When we carry out tasks and obligations, whatever part we perform, there must certainly be collaboration between one and the other,” said Luthfi in his statement on Wednesday (25/3/2026).
At the assembly, Luthfi also highlighted the handling of the Eid homecoming and return flow in Central Java. He noted that Central Java Province once again became one of the largest transit centres for homecomers in Indonesia.
“Homecoming is a tradition, especially Central Java being the largest centre throughout Indonesia,” he said.
According to him, the smooth flow of homecoming and return is inseparable from cross-sectoral joint efforts, from road readiness, free transportation, to security and public services during the Eid holiday period. He appreciated all ranks who were deemed capable of keeping services running and minimising public complaints.
“There is not a single public complaint related to our roads,” Luthfi revealed.
In his directions, Luthfi also ensured that the control of staple goods ran safely during the Eid period. The availability of public needs, including fuel, was said to remain stable thanks to the joint efforts of all parties.
For that achievement, Luthfi thanked all civil servants who have worked sincerely for the community. He asked that the spirit of devotion be maintained after the collective leave ends.
He also emphasised that civil servants must be sensitive and responsive to community needs, and make public service tasks a form of devotion, not just bureaucratic routine.
