Post-Disaster Rehabilitation in Sumatra Requires Rp56.3 Trillion in Funding

The Ministry of National Development Planning/National Development Planning Agency (PPN/Bappenas) has reported that total funding requirements under the ministry and agency action plan for post-disaster rehabilitation and reconstruction in Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra amount to Rp56.3 trillion, encompassing a total of 2,108 activities over the next three years.

Aerial photographs of the affected area reveal extensive damage and destruction to residential settlements in Sukajadi Village, Aceh Tamiang, where displaced residents have been collecting clean water and drying clothes near temporary shelters as they await longer-term reconstruction efforts.
