Temanggung – The Posong tourist attraction in Temanggung Regency, Central Java, continues to operate normally despite the discovery of a family’s bodies from Semarang Regency on Wednesday, 27 May 2026.

Ali Munawar, 52, was found dead in a tent at Posong alongside his wife and two sons. His wife, Magfiroh Alvira, 43, and their children Bagas Amar Hakiki, 21, and Alfino Evan Hakiki, 16, were also found dead.

Iptu I Komang Mahendra Putra, acting head of the Temanggung Police Criminal Investigation Unit, confirmed that Posong remains open, though it was temporarily closed yesterday for crime scene processing.

Located in Kledung District, approximately 22 kilometres from Temanggung Regency’s centre with a travel time of around one hour, the Posong Nature Tourism Park is easily accessible due to its proximity to the Temanggung-Wonosobo main road.

The site offers multiple photo spots for tourists, with a standard entry fee of Rp 20,000 per person. Camping is available at a different rate, and operating hours are from 4:00 AM to 4:00 PM WIB; visitors already on site must depart by 5:00 PM WIB.
