Poso working group revived

PALU, Central Sulawesi: Poso deputy regent Abdul Malik
Syahadat said on Wednesday that the Malino Peace Declaration
working group in charge of handling sectarian conflicts between
Muslims and Christians in the province had been reactivated this
month.

He said the group, which ended its activities in July, was
focusing on establishing social interaction between warring
parties through public peace campaigns.

Malik added that the working group, whose members came from a
range of backgrounds in the community, would also enhance efforts
on security restoration and physical and mental rehabilitation.
