Poso Police prepare to secure elections

POSO, Central Sulawesi: Poso Police held a security exercises on
Wednesday to prepare for the June election of the next Poso
regent.

Hundreds of officers joined the military-style exercises along
the city's main thoroughfares that attracted a large crowd of
residents.

During the exercises, police demonstrated strategies to guard
VIPs from terrorist attacks and assassinations.

Police chief Adj. Sr. Comr. Mohammad Saleh said that similar
exercises would be held more frequently in the city during the
run-up to the June 30 poll. -- JP
