JAKARTA – Honda motorcycle sales experienced an increase at the start of the year, specifically in the first two months of January to February 2026.

This rise aligns with the growth of the national two-wheeler market, which, though slim, still shows a positive trend.

General Manager of Corporate Communication at Astra Honda Motor (AHM), Ahmad Muhibbuddin, stated that the overall motorcycle market is still growing at the beginning of this year.

From an internal perspective, Honda’s motorcycle sales performance even grew slightly higher than the market. Honda motorcycle sales for the same period were recorded at hundreds of thousands of units.

“Meanwhile, for Honda itself in the first two months, we are at 898,000 units, which is up around 3.5 percent,” said Muhibbuddin.

He added that this achievement indicates that the public’s purchasing power for motorcycles remains quite stable, even though the economic conditions have not fully recovered.

In addition, according to Muhib, seasonal factors also contributed to the sales growth at the start of the year.

“One of the other factors is because Eid falls in the third month, this growth in the two months,” said Muhib.

With this positive trend, Muhib hopes that the national motorcycle market can continue to grow, especially driven by the increasing mobility needs of the public.
