Position of Pangdam Jaya Now Held by Three-Star General

JAKARTA — The TNI Commander, General Agus Subiyanto, has carried out an organisational review of the position of Pangdam Jaya/Jayakarta (Commander of Greater Jakarta Regional Command).

Through this restructuring, the position of Pangdam Jaya is now held by a senior officer with the rank of lieutenant general (three stars) following the previous arrangement where the position was held by an officer with the rank of major general (two stars).

Accordingly, Major General Deddy Suryadi, who currently serves as Pangdam Jaya, has received a promotion to the rank of lieutenant general.

The Head of the TNI Information Centre (Kapuspen), Brigadier General Aulia Dwi Nasrullah, stated that positional transfers within the TNI are routine matters as part of career development and organisational requirements. He stressed that each decision is made based on considerations to support the TNI’s execution of its primary duties.

Beyond this, the TNI Commander has also conducted other organisational reviews, including the restoration of the position of Chief of Territorial Staff (Kaster) TNI, which had previously been eliminated.

The position of Kaster TNI is now filled by Lieutenant General Bambang Trisnohadi, who previously served as Commander of the Joint Regional Defence Command (Pangkogabwilhan) III.

Major General Frits Wilem Rizard Pelamonia, who previously served as Senior Staff Officer Level III for the Army Chief of Staff in the field of Economics and Public Welfare (Pa Sahli Tk III Kasad Bidang Ekkesra), has been appointed as Pangdam XXIV/Mulawarman.

Meanwhile, Brigadier General Mirza Patria Jaya, who previously served as Director C of the Strategic Intelligence Agency (Dir C Bais) TNI, has been entrusted with the position of Pa Sahli Tk III Kasad Bidang Ekkesra.

Colonel Wahyo Yuniartoto of the Infantry, who previously served as Head of the Expert Staff Group (Kapok Sahli) of Pangdam IX/Udayana, has been appointed as Director C of Bais TNI.
