Pos Indonesia Reports Rp9 Trillion Accounting Adjustment Amid Major Overhaul
“The transformation we are carrying out here is not a half-hearted one. We do not want anything artificial or dressed up.
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Dony Oskaria, Head of the SOE Ministry’s BP BUMN, said PT Pos Indonesia had reported audit results in the form of bookkeeping adjustments for the 2023, 2024 and 2025 periods amounting to Rp9 trillion, as part of a process of cleaning up and restoring the company’s financial records.
“The transformation we are carrying out here is not a half-hearted one. We do not want anything artificial or dressed up. This process is being undertaken to make SOE companies resilient going forward,” Dony said in an official statement confirmed by ANTARA in Jakarta on Friday.
To oversee the rectification, Dony, who is also COO of Danantara, met the President Director of PT Pos Indonesia, Iskandar Kunaefi. The meeting discussed strategic steps to accelerate the company’s transformation through a comprehensive overhaul, ranging from governance and financial condition to the business model.
In his directions, Dony stressed that the transformation being undertaken must be carried out seriously and must address the root causes of the company’s problems.
In addition to ensuring the restructuring process runs comprehensively, the rectification is also focused on an effective and efficient financial management strategy to reduce the company’s cost burden.
One of the initiatives emphasised is a thorough review of the revenue structure, cost components, and the adoption of a more appropriate and sustainable business model through intercompany involvement to accelerate the reduction of company debt.
Dony emphasised that all corrective steps must be oriented towards strengthening the fundamentals of the business and must have measurable targets so they can be consistently monitored.
“If the core business keeps running negative, there’s no point. The focus first is to make this positive and bring costs down. So every initiative must have clear targets: when it will be completed and what the results will be. We will only monitor based on that,” Dony said.
Through this comprehensive rectification, BP BUMN together with Danantara hope PT Pos Indonesia can strengthen the company’s fundamentals, restore its financial health, and enhance its competitiveness so it can grow sustainably and add value for the state.
