Pos Indonesia Opens Network for All Logistics Businesses to Utilise
Bandung (ANTARA) - PT Pos Indonesia has officially opened access to its massive logistics infrastructure for shared use by all private logistics companies, third-party logistics (3PL) providers, and e-commerce giants in the country. The strategic move to relinquish infrastructure exclusivity was taken as a tactical response to break national logistics cost inefficiency, while supporting the implementation of Minister of Communication and Digital Affairs Regulation (Permen Komdigi) Number 8 of 2025 concerning Commercial Postal Services. “Pos Indonesia is ready to become a consolidation partner for logistics companies, 3PL service providers, and e-commerce players in building a more efficient, interconnected, and sustainable distribution network,” said Pos Indonesia Executive Vice President of Wholesale & International Business Elan Pramudiansyah in a statement in Bandung on Wednesday. Elan emphasised that through this strategic partnership scheme, private industry players and cargo owners can directly optimise distribution routes without needing to burn large amounts of capital to build new branch offices or warehouses in remote areas. He explained that through a programme called Wholesale Alliance, business partners can tap into Pos Indonesia’s operational advantages, which are currently supported by more than 24,000 physical service points. “This network has reached 100 percent of regencies and cities and covers nearly all sub-districts across the archipelago,” he said. In addition to dominating the domestic market through a multimodal fleet and digitally integrated warehousing, the state-owned corporation is also opening its international route interconnection, which includes distribution connectivity to 228 countries worldwide. This policy aligns with the mandate of Permen Komdigi 8/2025, which requires interconnection between postal operators to trigger service expansion, standardisation of quality, and curb unhealthy tariff wars in the market. “Through this collaboration, we want to create added value for all players in the national logistics ecosystem,” Elan added.
